The Annual Bali Vespa Rally is not something you will find in the tour brochures and highlighted on sites like Trip Advisor and Expedia. It’s a quirky local gathering which see’s a number of clubs from around the island ride to a central meeting place, compare monstrosities, drink Arak and listen to terrible music.
And monstrosities are the order of the day! I don’t mean that in an entirely negative way in as much as Doctor Frankenstein was both repulsed and fascinated by his creature. The Balinese people are renowned for their creativity and I cant think of too many places on the planet where freedom of expression could possibly be more represented on two wheel shit boxes than here.
